TGS utilizes a T1 line for FTP uploads directly to our prepress department. For FTP site information, call the TGS Prepress Dept. to create an upload account. We accept native Quark or InDesign files or PDFs. Or ask your Customer Service Rep about the most suitable method for you
DESIGN INFORMATION
To avoid additional charges and potential delays, art must be submitted in a "print-ready" format*. This will ensure the highest-quality results possible. TGS uses the industry standard CMYK 4-color process printing.
Acceptable File Types:
Adobe Acrobat Document (*.pdf)
Recommended, ensures 30% faster production time and eliminates all font and file compatibility issues)
Quark Xpress 6.5 (*.qxp, *.qxd)
InDesign CS3 (*.indd)
Adobe Illustrator CS3/10 artwork (*.ai, *.eps)
Adobe Photoshop CS3 image (*.psd, *.tif, *.eps)
Bitmap Image (*.bmp)
GIF Image (*.gif)
PEG Image (*.jpg,*.jpeg)
ART SPECS
All files, including those supplied by a third party, must comply to the following specifications. Please use these art guidelines and refer to our prepress checklist* to achieve the best printing results.
Document Setup: Set to same size as final trim
Resolution: 300 dpi. Images and designs should be saved to 300 dpi at 100% of the dimensions at which they will print
Lineart scans: 1200 ppi
Fonts: Compact fonts must not be used.
Color: All artwork/files must be process CMYK or grayscale in all applications.
